Dr. Theresa Leong

Meet Dr. Theresa, an accomplished dentist whose journey began with her graduation from the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg in 1997. After two years in private practice there, her drive for continuous learning led her to achieve a Postgraduate Diploma in Advanced Clinical Dentistry from the University of Stellenbosch.

In 1999, Theresa embarked on an exciting chapter, relocating to the United Kingdom. For over a decade, she was a key part of a modern private practice, working alongside a team of specialists. This invaluable experience allowed her to hone her skills across a broad spectrum of dentistry, including minor oral surgery, preventative and conservative dentistry, intricate crown and bridgework, and cosmetic dentistry.

Theresa genuinely enjoys all facets of clinical dentistry and is deeply committed to providing exceptional care. Known for her friendly, caring nature and incredibly gentle approach, she excels at putting even the most anxious children and adults at ease.

Outside of the clinic, Theresa finds joy in travel, drawing, and baking, but most of all, cherishes time spent with her family.

Irene is dedicated to providing high-quality general dental care. She has a keen interest in helping patients achieve straighter smiles, backed by her Postgraduate Diploma of Digital Orthodontics and accreditation to provide Invisalign treatment. Meet Leanne, our highly accomplished Oral Health Therapist, dually qualified as a Dental Hygienist and Dental Therapist. Leanne's passion lies in preventive dentistry, with a keen focus on creating positive dental experiences for both children and adolescents, alongside effectively treating periodontal (gum) disease. She also provides professional teeth whitening to enhance your smile's radiance.

Leanne is particularly passionate about providing patients with the utmost in teeth cleaning. She meticulously provides stain removal (including common tea and coffee stains) and uses advanced AirFlow technology. Her aim is simple: to provide each patient with the best clean they have ever experienced, ensuring your smile feels incredibly fresh and healthy.

Leanne graduated from Newcastle University with distinction in hygiene, earning prestigious accolades like the DHAA NSW Branch Award for Outstanding Commitment and the Dean's Merit Award. Her dedication to excellence continued as she was awarded the Prize for Most Outstanding Student in the Graduate Diploma of Dental Therapy Program. Further enhancing her capabilities, Leanne has completed the Adult Restorative Management for Oral Health, enabling her to provide comprehensive treatment for patients of all ages.

What truly sets Leanne apart is her groundbreaking work in public health. She is one of the few Oral Health Therapists in Australia with her unique qualifications, having completed a PhD that successfully improved the oral health of young Aboriginal children. This impactful research was recognized as one of the 10 Best National Health and Medical Research Programs, and she has multiple publications to her name. Beyond Vivid Dental, Leanne serves as a Research Fellow at the University of Sydney, continuing her vital work to improve the health of populations most in need.

Leanne is also a long-term member of the Dental Hygienists Association of Australia and a current member of the Oral Health Association of Australia, reflecting her ongoing commitment to professional standards and community engagement. Outside of work, Leanne is a busy mum to her three children, often running between multiple activities. She loves watching her daughter play soccer and is obsessed with a good coffee.

Faisal Barafi

Meet Faisal, whose unique journey in dentistry began with five years as a skilled dental
technician. This hands-on experience ignited a deeper passion, leading him to complete his
Bachelor of Oral Health at Newcastle University. Now dually qualified as both a Dental
Hygienist and an Oral Health Therapist, Faisal brings a comprehensive range of treatments
to both children and adults.

Known for his warm smile and incredibly gentle touch, Faisal is an empathetic clinician who
prioritizes your comfort. His commitment to care extends beyond the clinic, having
volunteered his skills in Cambodia and gained invaluable experience working in schools and
hospitals. This diverse background has perfectly prepared him for his role in providing
exceptional oral healthcare.

and cherishing time spent with friends and family.
